The donation ceremony was held today at Bixuan Temple in Dongshan District. Yeh Tse-shan said that the Volunteer Special Search and Rescue Team not only supports disaster relief missions within Tainan, but also assists in other counties and cities. Last year, the team even obtained international humanitarian rescue certification, allowing them to represent Taiwan in cross-border rescue missions. Yeh expressed his hope that with the blessings of the temple’s deity, rescue personnel will be able to complete their missions smoothly and return safely.

Johnson Su stated that with a grateful heart and the belief in “giving back to society,” he strives to care for the community and serve the public, teaching his children to be resilient, cherish blessings, be grateful, humble, and diligent. With frequent flooding from recent storms and Typhoon Yagi approaching, the disaster assessment vehicle’s timely arrival and readiness will, he believes, provide an important boost to Tainan’s firefighting and disaster response work.

Mayor Huang Wei-che praised Johnson Su for his years of dedication to public welfare, noting that the donation of the assessment vehicle will help the city improve its disaster prevention and relief capabilities. Fire Chief Lee Ming-feng said the vehicle will allow firefighters to quickly and effectively reach disaster sites, conduct damage assessments, and relay information, providing commanders with real-time decision-making support and significantly enhancing disaster response capabilities.
